The Sweet
With the launch of the Sweet Shop beta, our work begins
A suite of software for comic folk.
Bindings so creators can market their books and get in front of people.
FYCS so readers can find their local shop with ease.
Sweet Shop so everyone in the world has a place to find, discover and share their favorite comics
It’s painfully ambitious, incredibly exciting and took a ton of work and kindness from many people to get to this point.
So, what’s the story of the suite?
Bindings
Bindings started as a simple question with creators and comic folk: What do you need?
With constant algorithmic changes and social networks becoming oligarchical expressions of cruelty, creators told us they want a place to put their work. They wanted solutions to problems like final order cutoff and having to sign up for 3,479,837 sites that show webtoons to gain an audience. Sometimes they’re running a kickstarter, or have books at multiple publishers so they can’t just link to that publisher’s creator page.
Linktree slightly helped, but fails to provide a way for people to preview the work on the go or help people to sign up for a newsletter after seeing something great or inspiring.
Eternally we are grateful to Jazzlyn Stone, Kelly Sue DeConnick, Kieron Gillen and our muse Malachi Ward for all their insight and wisdom, as well as Tom Carmony for his beautiful work.
Right now if you sign up with code AWWYEAH you can get a 20% discount
Find Your Comic Store
Listen, we’re a group of people who have built software for decades and when we saw Diamond’s Comic Shop Locator plastered everywhere in comics, we thought maybe some things could be improved.
FIRST, it didn’t work worldwide.
SECOND, it didn’t let shops show off their personality.
THIRD, it wasn’t the nicest looking thing
Since its founding we’ve had 770 reports of new stores closing or popping up across the globe (New Zealand, Ukraine, Phillipines, Japan it just goes on and on…)
100 stores have claimed and customized their store. Which means you can see what Cosmic Monkey has to offer in Portland. Check South Australia’s Greenlight Comics open hours. Explore The Dragon in Guelph, Canada.
We’re incredibly excited that publishers such as Dark Horse, Image Comics and Viz now use FYCS as their defacto comic shop locator.
Sweet Shop
All our projects are a leap, but our most ambitious product yet is Sweet Shop, our digital comic store.
Our goal here is simple in nature: Build a space to grow comics. Grow comics means accessibility and revenue. Grow comics means avoid bulk subscriptions (they’re great for business but hurt creators). Grow comics means more people discovering, previewing, and buying. Grow comics means NOT just the US. Grow comics means boosting your favorite creators.
No weird vertical conversions. No NFT gimmicks. No VC investors deciding our fate. No digital collectibles. No AI comics or dumb chatbots. DRM-Free when publishers allow. We are focused on quality of content over volume, and providing the best experience possible.
We are now up to 26 (maybe 28) signed publishers. It’s a tremendous amount of work for the production teams at these publishers to handle this stuff. We’re incredibly grateful to them and their leadership for trusting us with their work.
And the reviews of our beta are outstanding:

Thank You
We are having so much fun growing these spaces. Thank you for all your feedback and kindness. Please feel free to reach out at any time if you have any questions send us an email. Huge comic nerds are standing by.
